I'm Nikki I'm 36years old & I suffer from friedreichs ataxia which is a long-term degenerative neurological illness which has left me wheelchair bound, for the last 15years.Im also diabetic, suffer with severe fatigue as well as mental health struggles.

I'm raising money for a desperately needed power wheel system which converts my manual wheelchair to a power assisted chair, this is called an alber efix e35 system.

This equipment will be life changing as it would allow me to participate in a wide range of activities & opportunities independently without reliance on others (which I crave).

With this equipment I will be to go out independently with my assistance dog or pursue voluntary work which I currently cant do due to the excessive fatigue I experience as my illness gets worse. The chose equipment has been checked for suitability by a neurophysio & consultant.

Any funds raised above the cost of this equipment will be used for ongoing disability costs as my illness gets worse.

I'm having to buy a new wheelchair for better suitability and compatibility for my new wheels which has increased my goal significantly.

I'm currently undertaking various fundraising challenges to get my goal
