It has been quite a year for everyone and COVID has taken its toll in obvious and not-so-obvious you ways. Our friend Nikki Waldo has had a particularly trying year, and sadly, she was just informed that the home she rents is going up for sale in April.
Nikki’s a single mother and is concerned that she might have to move her son out of the Ferndale School District, which she loves as much as he does.

Like many, Nikki has been collecting unemployment for the last several months because she needs to be home with her school-age son who’s learning virtually. Obviously, this move couldn’t come at a worse time.

On top of everything, after years of enduring an orthodontic issue, Nikki recently had a dental procedure that wasn’t completely successful. She’s having issues with serious pain and poor fit.
Obviously, the prospect of looking for/interviewing for a new job in the middle of a pandemic while dealing with a serious orthodontic situation has added to her stress tremendously.
It’s just a lot.
It’s just a lot.
While the goal is ultimately is to raise enough money to help Nikki put a down payment on a new home for her and her son, if buying a home isn’t a possibility in this short period of time, it sure would be nice to give her a buffer to help with the cost of a move, a new rental, etc.
Nikki was really hesitant about having us put this together, but, we all can identify with what she’s going through. Time to rally and help your girl!
