Nikki Stineman - Lost & Found Pets
Donation protected
My husband, Jeff Dell, and I lost our beloved Julio on May 10. He escaped from our yard on April 29th, and from that point forward, until the day he was found, Nikki Stineman TIRELESSLY searched for Julio, every spare minute she had. Along with many other dedicated volunteers and friends, she walked miles and miles of tick-infested cornfields and tree lines, passed out hundreds of fliers, and talked to almost every resident of Northeast Lincoln to locate our precious little boy. Nikki trained us on the various ways to approach a dog "on the run" and set live traps (which need to be checked at least every two hours). She rallied support on Facebook through her Lincoln, NE (and Surrounding Areas) Lost & Found Pets. Our posts were shared over 500 times. There were so many kind people involved in the attempted rescue of Julio, but ultimately, all of our hard work did not pay off. He was found under a tree - he was deceased, and we believe he was hit by a car. Nikki went to the site he was found, picked him up, and brought him to us so we could say goodbye.
I know hundreds of you have benefited from Nikki's assistance and expertise, FREE OF CHARGE. She does receive donations, but not NEARLY enough to support the excellent work she is doing.
I want to raise enough money to provide gas money, supplies, food, and anything else Nikki would need to make this job more manageable. She won't quit - it is her mission to help poor, defenseless animals and return them to their families. Even if you donate $5.00, it will add up! We would also like to start a nonprofit organization that focuses solely on helping owners find their pets and pets find their owners. This will require start-up fees to file Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, and other necessary paperwork with the Secretary of State. Please help us make sure that no other pet parent has to suffer like we are.
