Nikki Needs Dental

This is Nikki Ryan (and Trout). You may know her as the writer of The Family Trade from Image Comics. Or as the con badger who is usually at my table with me, attacking random passersby.

Nikki is in a bad spot. She very badly needs dental work done, and like many of us (including me) doesn't have the kind of insurance that will actually pay for dental work., because clearly teeth aren't important.

Nikki's wisdom teeth need to come out, and since she hasn't been able to afford to do so, the pressure from them has broken one of her molars, leading to even more dental work, which is costing even more money. She can't even schedule the surgery she needs without paying for it upfront.

When she's not creating comics, Nikki works in the restaurant business, so her income is entirely dependent on tips. If she's not at work, she's not making money. So while most of the money raised here will go straight into her teeth, a small amount will be used to cover the days off she needs for recovery.
