Nurse Nikki Needs Our Help

The anticipation and fear of when it was going to get us has been plaguing us from the start. It was only a matter of time, that one of us was going to be tragically affected.  Amber Nikki Bass has recently been hospitalized from complications of Covid-19.  She is a wonderful pediatric Registered Nurse who has worked tirelessly as a single mother over the years caring for her three daughters, going to school to achieve her goal of becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, and working full time at St. Joseph’s ER. 

Nikki has worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic and provided all her patients with the utmost care and empathy. She has cried when we’ve lost people and cheered them on when they have recovered. In the midst of this, Nikki also had to mourn the loss of her father less than a year ago.  Despite her struggles and personal tribulations she always showed up ready to save lives. 

This past year has been detrimental to us all, many of us have lost loved ones, struggled through our own mental well being and strived for a positive outlook in the middle of such turmoil and darkness.

Unfortunately, Nikki’s health has quickly deteriorated and she has been intubated. We are praying for her recovery and wish to help her family during this difficult time.
