Niki's Facial Feminization Fund

Hi friends,

If your reading this I'm most certain that you already know I began transitioning a little over three year ago. This has greatly enhanced my self esteem and my life. I'm not looking for pity or anyone to feel sorry for me. Transitioning is difficult even if you have close friends and family that see you and support you. The process is painful but worth it, I am thankful and proud. My doctors and therapists have cleared me for facial feminization and I will undergo a eight hour surgery on January 31st of 2024. This affirming surgery will be crucial and life changing for me. It will go far in me passing in public as the gender I now am. Many of you are aware of the social cruelty I have been subjected to, my facial features being the main cause of exposure since our face is the first and main thing others see. I will be out of commission for at least eight weeks and in mid December my partner Stig is having top surgery so I must also care for him during his recovery. I don't ask for help often and this is not the beginning of a long reoccurring request. I need financial support to help me through this until I can return to my performance work.

The money I receive will be used to cover my rent in Brooklyn for at least three months, food, bills etc as well as support in any extra costs that may not be covered by insurance. I am fortunate that NYS Medicaid is covering most of this. I am on Amida Care which is a special insurance through NYS that covers transgender people that are below or at the poverty line. I am excited about this experience and it's a beautiful part of me becoming a woman that will be a milestone in my journey. I am however scared of the possibilities of not being able to survive financially while I am in the healing process. Who knows after this surgery I may even start to post pictures of my face without clown or drag makeup! Thank you for your support, it won't go to waste and it will not be forgotten.
