Niki Holmes’ breast cancer struggle.

Dear friends and supporters,

We are asking for your help to raise $10,000 for my beautiful mother Niki who is facing a difficult battle against cancer. Within the next month, Niki will be undergoing a bilateral mastectomy. Following this she will undergo months of chemo and then radiation. Obviously she will not be able to work during a lot of this time due to healing and being sick from the chemo. The only income Niki will have during this time is a paltry about from the government (if she’s eligible). With little savings, this is an extremely scary time and currently, this is one of the main concerns Niki has within this whole awful experience. We are hoping to raise funds so this is one less thing Niki has to worry about so she can concentrate on her recovery, rather than push herself to return to work before she is ready just to pay the rent. The money raised will go towards living expenses such as rent, food, petrol to and from appointments (some in Toowoomba). We are so thankful and humbled by the donations made so far. We ask for you to share this for us and donate if you are able. Niki has spent her whole like caring for children, the disabled and her own children as a single mother. Now it is time for us to care for her.
