Nights To Forget & Remember (Sides A & B)

Hi!

We are Antonia & Georgina, the writers/producers/directors of our upcoming student short films "Nights to Forget [Side A]" and "Nights to Remember [Side B]". These two films tell a story of the same night, from two different perspectives.

The night starts with 5 friends at a girls' night in- they set out to have fun with games, pizza and drinks. But unprompted stories about trauma from their past will bond them in a way no one saw coming. On "Nights to Forget [Side A]", we'll follow Andrea, who receives a triggering text that leads her to spiral and share the pain that haunts her. Sophia, on the other hand, is faced with the dilemma of how much of her personal trauma to reveal, as seen in "Nights to Remember [Side B]".

The money received from these donations will go into the different departments of our productions: locations, food for cast and crew, production design and special equipment. Additionally, we would love to see our final films projected in different film festivals around the world (including in Germany and Mexico, our home countries).

We believe in the importance of these stories because they matter. Roughly 1 in 3 to 5 women will, at some point in their lives, be victims of sexual or physical abuse. It might seem like just another statistic until it becomes real to you. These stories are a reminder of the long-lasting, often invisible trauma and the importance of listening with care and empathy. They're especially meaningful to us because the stories in these films actually happened and the night is based on real events.
