“Nights That Won’t Happen” Thesis Film

My name is Jacob Maren and I’m currently a senior at Wesleyan University! About two weeks ago I had the great fortune to wrap my senior thesis film Nights That Won’t Happen. I’m so excited to get to edit this work and so proud of the work that our crew was able to accomplish given the crazy circumstances of this year. The funds raised here will be used to cover post-production costs for the film. Since I’m shooting on 16mm film stock, post-production costs include film development, sound mixing, color correction, and a final print of the film.

LOGLINE: Nights That Won’t Happen is a psychological drama about the worlds we create, both with our loved ones and within ourselves. Early one morning, Gray wakes up to find her boyfriend, Lucas, sneaking out of their apartment. Thinking that he’s cheating on her, she obsessively follows him into a diner, where he sits across from a young woman, Annie, confirming her suspicions. However, as she begins to eavesdrop on their conversation, she discovers a horrifying truth.
