DISCLAIMER: I genuinely don’t know how much help I need right now. There’s so much going on that I’m trying to figure out and so many of you wanted to help through a gofundme so I just picked a number. I want to do the right thing through this and I never want anyone to feel like I’m taking advantage of your kindness so please don’t feel obligated to give if you feel like I’ve raised enough or if you just can’t give.

Hi, I’m Jym Pagel, the creator and host of NightDocs on YouTube.
On July 30th I had a few hours before I was scheduled to pick up my two young daughters and decided to start a Livestream (link to the actual livestream )to play through a game called PT and as the countdown clock started I heard a popping sound downstairs which turned out to be my garage catching fire originating likely from the dumpster.
Because I couldn’t find my phone in my panic I started screaming for help and a neighbor came running and called 911 after I had been trying to put it out by myself for about 5 minutes. I had tried throwing buckets of water, banging on neighbors doors, everything but couldn’t get a hold of anyone who could call before this. I ran back upstairs trying to see if my phone was left on my desk where I had started the live stream which is when you hear me screaming that I couldn’t find my home and that my house was on fire.
The firefighters came a few minutes later and I thought for sure my house was going to burn to the ground there was so much smoke. As it stands, my home is soaking wet from fire hoses and there’s extensive fire damage in the garage and smoke damage throughout my house. The whole place smells like a combination of campfire and mildew.
In June 2020 over a year ago, I lost my job due partially to COVID and got put on a mortgage suspension ever since. I haven’t paid my mortgage in almost a year and a half now and the income I make from YouTube isn’t covering my costs to really survive let alone cover the costs of a big emergency like this.
To add to this miserable 2021, I actually still have damage in my home after my pipes burst during the Texas freeze and I haven’t had carpet since February.
In full transparency, I’m showing you my full income as it stands right now. I make approximately $200 / month from YouTube ad revenue and between $700-800 / month from my wonderful friends on Patreon. I had a few short months where I was able to get another job but it only lasted a few months.
Sometimes I’m able to secure a sponsor which I do have for this next video but if you go back through my uploads it’s not an all the time thing and since my videos take a few months to make, and sometimes get demonetized, it makes doing this very very difficult to do financially.
I feel a little guilty asking for help, but this is a huge burden that couldn't have come at a worse time. I love what I do and I’ll never stop, but until my audience gets a little bigger and I can start making a little more through your financial support, it’s going to be a night and day battle.
Understand I know I’m not the only one hurting, and even though finances are tight I try to give when someone has need. I hope that I can see some karma for that and I promise to pass it along when someone needs help in the future as well.
You’ve often heard me say that out of the darkness we can all find light, and it’s more than a catch phrase to me. I truly believe that life is a balance between triumph and heartache, joy and sadness, selfishness and charity.
My daughters and I will be grateful for your help.
I love you all regardless of your ability to give. You have value in this world and I’m glad you’re here ♥️
Jym
