Nonprofit Barbers and Business Leadership Event in Nigeria.

My name is Damola Adeoti, I am a Nigerian American citizen and I reside in ATL, GA. I am a licensed professional Master Barber and i am 11+years in the industry. I started this nonprofit organization movement in 2022 when I took a vacation to visit Nigeria, it has always been on my heart to see how I could contribute and impact in my area of gifting to my country Nigeria. This is how the Purpose of Barbering community began. 

Our community’s vision is to empower and influence Africa starting from Nigeria in the barbering/cosmetology industry with high standards ,values and proper business ethics.

Our first event gave us the opportunity to share light (knowledge) into the community of almost 50 barbers! We concentrated a lot on mindset and value, which is what fuels everything else that we do. We also did a thorough training on running a business, integrity, clients relation, customer service , mindset, Sanitation, Sterilization , Self discipline and barber tools knowledge etc. We also did a live stage grooming session to show our students on how to properly render a professional grooming experience. It was phenomenal. 

We were also blessed to be able to give out four free high grades clippers in a contest.

This is why we are in preparation to host another event this year in Lagos and Ibadan, dated for September 29 and the 30th in Lagos and also October 2nd in Ibandan. It will be bigger and impactful. It will be three different events in two locations, Lagos and Ibadan.

1) Business Leadership Development ( this is for business that wants to learn how to upload standards, ethics and proper customer service)

2) Purpose of Barbering 2 ( catered towards barbers and cosmetologists)

3) Outreach in the community to give out free haircuts and hygiene supplies to the low income families.

Where your support will go

1) My plane ticket: $1500

2) Event space locations (Lagos and Ibadan)

3) Promotional: printing of banners, give away items. Out reach event set up.

4) Finger food and drinks for our attendees

5) Transportation and Logistics

The first event was funded through me which I am very thankful for, but this time around we will need support to cover logistics, resources and everything that partakes in hosting a fruitful event. We hope you could be part of our vision. Thank you very much for the consideration.
