Funeral for loving Dad, Nigel Swatman

Hello, my name is Alex a lot of you may or will know me as Avis - on Saturday 17th May 2025 16:32 (4:32p) I received a call that my beloved father Nigel Swatman had been found deceased. He died unexpectedly peacefully in his bed at home.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved dad, Nigel. He was more than just a father—he was a friend, a mentor, and a light in so many people’s lives. Known for his quick wit and unforgettable sense of humor. He really was what I called a "sucker punch of comedy." Nigel had a unique ability to make everyone laugh, even in the hardest moments.

Beyond the laughter, Nigel had a heart full of compassion. He devoted his time to helping others, especially through his work with a local charity playground for children—a cause close to his heart. His selflessness and dedication made a lasting impact on the community and left a legacy of kindness that will never be forgotten.

This is a complete shock to the entire family and we are all mourning and suffering from this huge loss. My dad had no savings or money put away.

He had just moved into a new home, a lovely 2 bedroom flat in April that he had eagerly waited for years. It was a new start for him and my little sister Cassie who is 13. My dad had his trouble from losing his home, to living in his car in a carpark for 8 months. No matter how little he had, he still made sure he gave to people.
