Treatment for Nigel Steve
Donation protected
For those who don't know this handsome fellow, this is Nigel Steve. He came into the world in March of 2020. Nigel is your classic quarantine puppy. He has gone everywhere with Meghan since she brought the brown fluff home.
Nigel loves all his friends (both those with four paws and two legs); it would take a long time to list all his favorite people. He enjoys going to the gym, riding in the back seat of any Jeep, sitting in every doorway, chasing anything round, and playing with his cat brother Ocho.
Nigel was living every dog's dream life until August of 2021. You see, that's when Nigel got sick. After several vet visits and failed medications, it was determined that Nigel had pneumonia. Several remedies were tried over many weeks, but Nigel's body did not like any of them; he rejected every drug. His home vet did everything possible to help this boy feel better. Finally, the decision was made to put Nigel in the care of some of the best at Gulf Coast. Unfortunately, the new medications are more potent and have drastic side effects. And now, he has been hospitalized for the third time. The veterinarians are trying one final drug that may affect his kidneys but hopefully beats pneumonia once and for all.
The last five months have been full of uncertainty, lengthy vet visits, and hope that he will get better. The vet visits, treatments, chest x rays, medications, and overnight stays have added up very quickly. On top of the stress of Nigel's health, the financial burden is a lot for one to carry, so we are rallying together to help. The battle isn't over yet and raising money to help with the cost of Nigel's medical bills is one way we can support! Big or small, everything helps! Consider donating to help Nigel's treatment.
