Niece Wants to Help Her Uncle Battle Stage 4 Cancer
Donation protected
My beloved uncle, Scott Busby, Zio Scott (as we say in Italy), has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. It has metastasized into the bone and lymph system throughout his whole body and the doctors are giving him only 12 to 15 months to live. He's about to start his second level of treatment - chemo - which will make it very hard for him to continue to work, even though his wonderful wife and stepdaughter, Jane and Yadan, and colleagues and friends are doing everything they can to help him.
Hello, my name is Ellie. I'm Scott's niece. I live with my mother, Leslie, Scott's sister, in a small town in Italy where I'm a student. I want to do everything possible to be with my Zio and help him any way I can, despite being so far away.
I love my Zio Scott, and I know that many other people do as well. He is smart, caring, kind, and very funny. He has always managed to put a smile on my face, ever since I was a little girl. I wish I could do the same for him now, but my Mom and I don't have the means to be there for him in Los Angeles like he has always been there for us.
He is being so brave in confronting his Stage 4 diagnosis, but he's up against serious physical, emotional, and financial challenges.
The battle against cancer is exhausting and expensive. Despite his strength and determination, he is struggling to keep up with the mounting medical bills, treatments, and daily living expenses. The financial burden is overwhelming, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult for him to focus on what truly matters – his recovery and well-being.
I've created this GoFundMe campaign to help alleviate the financial stress that comes with such a devastating diagnosis. Every dollar raised will go directly towards Zio Scott's medical bills, treatments and care, and essential living expenses. Your support will allow him to focus on his fight against cancer without the added worry of financial strain.
We understand that times are tough for everyone, but any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Your prayers, positive thoughts, and words of encouragement are also deeply appreciated.
Zio Scott has always been a fighter and with your help, he can continue to fight with hope and strength. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and support during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Ellie
