UPDATE: Nic’s surgery to remove the tumour is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, March 12. Following the surgery, the tumour will be sent for a biopsy to determine the next steps.

Doctors expect Nic’s recovery to take at least 4–6 months. We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support so far. Every donation, message, and share means so much to Nic and his family during this difficult time.

Our family recently received devastating news. My brother Nic Stan has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.

This diagnosis has come suddenly and has turned life upside down for him, his wife, and their three young children. As the sole provider for his family, my brother will be unable to work while he undergoes surgery and recovery. During this time, the focus needs to be on his health and healing, but the financial pressure of everyday expenses will still be there.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help support his family with basic living and household expenses while he is off work. We don’t know all of the details yet but we do know it will be a long recovery.

Nic is a devoted father who works incredibly hard to support his family. Anyone who knows him knows how much he loves his kids and how committed he is to providing for them. Right now, he needs the support of his community so he can focus on getting through surgery and returning home to his family.
