Nicolina Grace, age 3, was diagnosed with B cell type Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on July 3, 2019. We are all completely heartbroken, but prepared to do whatever needs to be done to help this BRAVE and STRONG little girl and her family throughout the entirety of this battle and beyond. Her parents, Mary and Garrett Ferreiro, and her two older brothers are devastated, but standing strong for their sweet girl as this is the start of what will be a long and difficult journey. Nicolina will need 8 months of intensive chemotherapy followed by 2 years of maintenance chemotherapy to put her into full remission. Additionally, she is on multiple medications to prevent adverse side effects. The Ferreiros are completely overwhelmed by all of the love and support from so many dear friends and family. Many people have kindly reached out and asked how they can help support their family financially. Accepting monetary donations is not something they are quite comfortable with, but have realized that this will help to ease their financial burden with the exponentially increasing expenses of treatment.
