Thank you for taking the time to stop by :)
My name is Nicole Navis. It is my deepest desire to do what God has called me to do; showing and sharing Christ's love by serving others.
What does serving others look like? Helping with soup kitchens, fighting human trafficking and playing with kids in the slums, just to name a few.
I grew up doing short term missions and did local volunteering my whole life and then in 2009 went into full time mission work in Australia.
I came home for a couple of years and now I'm gearing up to go back into full time missions in December 2016.
I will be going back to Australia to work with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) which is an international, interdenominational mission orginization. I am not paid by them at all and have to cover all my own expenses.
I will be helping with hospitality & cooking and local community outreach.
Then next April I will be doing a 6 month Community Transformation and Development school. Here are some topics that we will learn about:
-Building trust in communities and language acquisition techniques
-Local church development
-Justice, advocacy and mercy
-Personal transformation and leadership
-Worldview and having a biblical understanding of the poor
-Planning for development and key development strategies
-Effective entry and exit strategies
-Empowering existing leaders to facilitate change
This school will better equip me to do what I love ...serving those in need and bringing awareness about those who are forgotten.
The money raised will be used to cover my living expenses and travel expenses, as well as school expenses which includes visas & health insurance.
It would be ideal to have the funds by the 1st of December.
I will be forever grateful to everyone who contributes! I cannot do this without the help of many supporters.
