Nicole's Recovery to Full Mobility

Hey, my name is Dray and I am starting this fundraiser for my mother, Nicole Fairman, to help pay for some of the medical costs incurred during the recovery phase after a recent health situation...

In August of 2024, Nicole suffered from multiple brain bleeds on both hemispheres of her brain. This would effectively destroy much of her brain-body connection, affecting mobility on both the left and right side of her body. For a few weeks after the incident, close family were stuck with the fear of not knowing whether she would regain full consciousness from what seemed like a partial coma.

But we knew and still know how strong Nicole is :)

Slowly, we would watch as her eyes first re-opened, soon able to imitate the sounds we made, increasingly showing signs of responsiveness. We celebrated and still celebrate every small stage of recovery we saw. However, we knew it would be a very long road ahead to regain movement in her body from what can be considered a rare stroke affecting both sides of the body simultaneously.

Every day we watch her grow back into the Nicole we have come to love after all these years, but our family has had to make many drastic changes to support the full recovery of who is really the glue holding together everything we are.

Medical equipment at home, appointments, medicine, schedule adjustments, private nurses, and more, have all cost thousands of dollars out of pocket up until now. And while we will keep fighting to get Nicole back on her path to full recovery, we will need help from whoever is able to aid in our situation.
