Hi! My name is Nicole. I feel weird making a GoFundMe, but I’m absolutely desperate to save my fur baby’s life or at least extend the amount of time he’s here earthside. My dog's name is Rex. He’s an 8-year-old Boston Terrier and was born on Jan 24, 2017. Recently, Rex had a biopsy done on a weird growing spot on his male part (where he urinates). We received word back that he had a grade 2 mast cell tumor. Prognosis can be 4 months to a few years depending on treatment. I was absolutely gutted when I found out. I’ve had Rex since he was an 8-week-old puppy. He has been my best friend and with me through some trying times. I can’t imagine losing him to something like this. I thought he’d live out all his years healthily until he was called home for old age. They mentioned oral chemotherapy, radiation, and a surgery to remove the penis completely and reroute his urethra. The surgery alone is $8000 and I cannot afford such a surgery. Oral chemotherapy is about 6-700$ a month as well for 25mg of Palladia. We are already paying quite a bit for CBD, prednisone, fenbendazole, homemade diet, multivitamins, fish oil, castor oil packs and Chinese herbals. We are doing all we can. Some people would rather put their dogs down in cases like this, and I’m just not that person. I also don’t want him to suffer. Hoping we can do this for him before the cells spread to the rest of his body. Thank you.
