Hello everyone. Our family is in crisis and without our leading lady, mother, and wife. Nicole is in an emergency medical situation and has been taken for an extended hospital stay at a specialized facility out of state. As of now we expect her to be in hospital care for a month. She is very ill and has been worsening over the prior two months leading up to this decision and course of treatment. Our hearts are broken with worry and stress and our home is empty without her loving and caring presence. I (Jake) will be on an FMLA unpaid leave from work for the duration of her treatment to be home and care for our boys. We never imagined being in a situation requiring this level of intense medical care and are scrambling to do whatever it takes to get Nicole the best care possible. We will stop at nothing to give her the best chance at a complete recovery to get back to being the wonderful mother and wife and friend/family member that she is to so many people. The specialized treatment she is receiving carries a very substantial cost and impact on our family, on top of extended time away from work for me to care for the kids. We welcome and appreciate any and all prayers, and we would be overwhelmed with gratitude for any help anyone can give us through this impossible time.
