On August 17, 2017 Nicole experienced a traumatic ranch accident in rural Quincy, CA.  While helping dig new post holes for horse fencing, the strap of her glove was caught on an auger, crushing and breaking her right (dominant) radius and ulna into 10 pieces.  She was taken by medivac helicopter to Renown Hospital in Reno, NV, for emergency reconstructive surgery of her right forearm.

Due to unfortunate timing, Nicole is currently without medical insurance. She came to Quincy, CA to help and support the Silva family who recently lost their beloved horse, Anja.
