Hi, my name is Sarah and I’m creating this go fund me because so so so many of you have reached out to me and my friends asking if there was any way you could help Nicole during this battle against leukemia. Her friends along with her parents have tossed around several ideas on ways to try and bring Nicole encouragement and hope during this journey and this is what we’ve landed on!

If you were plugged into Nicole’s life pre-cancer, you know she was tirelessly working on flipping her first house. She’s been saving up for this flip for YEARS, and recently bought and completely gutted the entire house this year. Two weeks ago I drove to this house to take a look at how far she had come and talked through all her ideas of how she was going to be finishing it. One thing that I noticed was that there were several things she was having to downgrade to stay within her budget. She wanted the custom cabinets, but was settling for the standard ones, wanted a sliding door added to have easier access to the back yard, but decided she could do it down the road when funds allowed, etc.

As you can imagine, flipping a house is INCREDIBLY exciting for an interior designer. It’s our art and our passion. So I thought starting this go fund me might be a huge encouragement to Nicole. It will give her something to look forward to, and bring extra funds in to either upgrade her selections, or outsource the work as she begins this battle that may take a couple years to win.

The goal amount I have listed isn’t calculated specifically. Being an interior designer myself (I met Nicole in college while we were studying to be interior designers,) I know I could spend endless amounts of money on renovating my space. My hope is that these donations make you feel like you’re on this journey with her, and that it brings her joy, hope, and excitement during this season of life. And also, helps provide her a way to continue completing this house even though she can’t physically be doing it herself.

We appreciate how supportive this community has been over the last several days and are determined to make sure Nicole never feels alone through this journey.
