Nicole’s Fearless Fight
On June 6th 2020, my sister's life took a drastic turn. She was in agony and went to the hospital only for doctors to tell her that she has a tumor the size of a grapefruit in her abdomen. She spent most of the next month stressing whether it was a benign tumor or a malignant tumor. She got some relief when she received a call from the doctor that the tumor in her abdomen was benign, but they wanted to run a few more further scans to make sure there were no other tumors. Exactly 1 month after the first tumor was found, the doctor called and gave her the unfortunate news that they found a second tumor in her colon the size of a golf ball that turned out to be cancer. She is now about to be fighting harder than she had ever had to.
Nicole has spent the last 4 years as an EMT, and before that she volunteered for several ambulance and fire departments. She was part of the Red Cross crew that deployed to hurricane Matthew and the Kokomo tornados that devastated the city. Nicole has to take a leave of absence from work, and her husband hasn't been able to go back to work yet due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Her family has her back, but we can only do so much. She has 4 young children all under the age of 9 and has to make countless trips to a hospital nearly an hour away.
Any assistance and help would be greatly appreciated! God bless you all and much love.
