Hello everyone,

I am not an individual who likes to ask for help, but the past couple of months have been rough. One thing after another, and 2 weeks ago was the caper.

On a rare day off about 2 weeks ago I decided to go to the beach with a friend. While walking into the water, I turned around, and then out of nowhere, a large wave hit the side of my leg, knocking my right knee sideways. I heard a loud pop and fell to the ground.

An ER visit, x-rays, MRI, and 2 visits with specialists/surgeons later, I have come to find out that I completely tore my ACL and slightly tore my meniscus. I am now on crutches and in need of surgery to have it repaired, which I scheduled to have on the 23rd of this month.

I work a lot, like most of us do, and am trying to work as much as I can before surgery. As most of you know, I am a full time vet technician that is now currently on light desk duty and pretty much unable to do my job. I also had a part time catering job, that I am now physically unable to go to, as well as countless side gigs/pet sitting jobs. A normal work week was about 60-70 hours depending on the extra side jobs I was able to get.

Like most nowadays, I am living paycheck to paycheck just to pay my normal bills and stay above water. Now, with added medical expenses, time that I will be out of work recovering, and just learning I have to come up with a $1,500 deductible before surgery in order to get it, I feel like I'm drowning.

I am very humbly asking for help from all of you in order to not only get my surgery but to also help me with upcoming medical bills and to keep my head above water.
