Friends & Family,
Thank you for taking some time to read our GoFundMe. Toward the end of Nicole Hamlin’s pregnancy, she was experiencing a very high level of pain. Due to this, she was induced early as the doctors believed that giving birth would relieve the pain. We are so thankful for the birth of baby Ella! Unfortunately, Nicole’s pain didn’t subside. After frequent ER trips, Nicole finally had to be admitted. She was then moved into the ICU for treatment. After numerous blood transfusions & some procedures, it was later discovered that Nicole has a rare form of cancer called Choriocarcinoma (I encourage you to google it to learn a little more about it). The cancer started on the placenta and has moved into Nicole’s liver, spleen, pancreas, and possibly one lung. Her cancer is classified as Stage 4. This cancer is rare and aggressive. It only happens to 1 in every 40,000 people.
On 2/10, the doctors have started Nicole on Chemotherapy. This is not just rough medically & physically for Nicole, but it is difficult for her to be away from her 3 kids. They are three and a half years old and younger, with Ella being just about a month old. Nicole is unable to be with newborn baby Ella at this time, and friends and family are watching the kids while her husband Mark is with her. He goes home when he can, but lately that has not been much. We would appreciate your prayers for Nicole and the family, and are very grateful for any monetary contribution you are willing to make on this GoFundMe.
Thank you so much.
