Nicole's Interstitial Lung Disease journey

Hi my name is Tanya and as most of you know, I am Nicole's Mother. Back in April Nicole began experiencing breathing problems that she never had before. A primary care doctor visit turned into a referral. After an x-ray and CT scan it was shown to us and everything was explained. They diagnosed Nicole with Interstitial Lung Disease. It came as a complete shock to us all. More tests were done including an EKG, Echocardiogram, Cryo-Bronchoscopy, ultrasounds, more x-rays, another bronchoscopy and endless viles of blood. Nicole was put on steriods and immune suppressants to try and stop the progression and/or help with the symptoms. Unfortunately even with the medications, her lung disease is still progressing. They are going to try a couple more medications but it was determined Nicole needs a Lung Transplant. The even harder news is that if we can't stop the progression then Nicole could pass away before possibly even getting the transplant. All money goes towards her medical bills. Every penny is greatly appreciated.
