We’ve started this page on behalf of our longtime friend, Nicole Somma, owner of the Lakeside Lodge & Grille on beautiful Lake George.
Offering a slice of Adirondacks, The Lakeside Lodge & Grille was a favorite American-style eatery and watering hole in the scenic village of Bolton Landing since 1945. Popular with both local and vacationers, The Lakeside was known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere, specialty cocktails, local beers on draft, and creative daily specials that delighted guests and kept them coming back for more.
On the early morning of Thursday, September 17, 2020 Nicole’s world was upended when a devastating fire gutted the landmark restaurant, which she had managed since 2006, along with the recently renovated adjoining Suites at Lakeside Lodge.
Before the fire took place, Nicole, who was raised in Bolton Landing, was always the first to support local and regional fundraising efforts. Now, she and her two children desperately need our help restoring her family’s business.
The fire may have taken away everything she knows — her income, day-to-day life and immediate future – but it hasn’t diminished her passion to bounce back from this horrific event.
