Hi Everyone,

Most of you know I've been dealing with bone spurs crushing my spinal chord in my neck which has caused dizziness, brain fog, speech problems, migraines, limb pain, and facial numbness for several years now. It's caused me to miss a lot of work. I finally got surgery cleared and scheduled. I kept asking what the or of pocket cost would be and kept getting told someone would call me with the details. I checked. My deductible was met, my copay was $100. The estimate page in mychart listed nothing.

1 day before spinal surgery and I just checked my chart and they finally had the out of pocket cost listed. They said I need to pay more than $1800 before my surgery. Grrr. I've sent out many emails to all the Inova people, but in the meantime I'm trying to scramble and get the payment ready for when they inevitably tell me that I have to pay it or I don't get the surgery.
