Nicole Bolin Medical and Auto Relief Fund

On the evening of May 15, 2020, my bestie, my BAE, my ride or die Nicole Bolin was in a horrific car accident. A microburst had touched down briefly in Groton MA where she and Riley Bush (who was driving her car) were caught in the uproar of howling wind and debris. With barely a moment to react, a tree came crashing down into her windshield, crushing her beloved “masterbatrix” (her nickname for her car). Miraculously Riley only had minor abrasions (thank goodness),  while Nicole sustained more serious injuries. Aside from some scrapes and cuts on her arm and beautiful face, the impact of the tree and full body whiplash injured her spine.   She has what’s medically coined a “burst fracture” in L1 of her spine, which means essentially that vertebrae was crushed. Honestly, they’re both lucky to be alive, but the terrifying reality is she missed being paralyzed by a hair.  She has quite the road to recovery, but she’s kept her sharp wit and humor through all of this, thankfully. However, the seriousness of the matter is her car is totaled, she cannot work and the medical bills are soon to come piling in. She lives alone and still has a mortgage and utilities to pay. All the unknowns with her injury, healing and long term effects are incredibly stressful. So I’m reaching outward to help give her peace of mind that she has the love and support so she can focus on her healing, which is most important. Any of you that know me know how much i love her, and how important she is to me. Any of you that know her know how funny, kind, and caring of a friend she is.  She’s pulled me out of many dark places, and I’d like to return that favor now. Please, any help is greatly appreciated.
