In Loving Memory of Nicole Ahuna

Losing Nicole (Marotta) Ahuna, on Feb 22nd has left all those who know and love her with an infinite void. She fought a long and noble battle against breast cancer with the truly heroic support of her husband, Jon. Her grace and strength through the illness was truly incomparable, as was her fierce love for their daughters, Lana (8) and Indie (6). Nicole did everything in her power to protect them and make sure they will know how much they are loved by her, even in her physical absence.

Many of us are aching from this incomprehensible loss and looking for a way to honor her, so we have set up this donation page to create an Education Fund for Lana and Indie, knowing that supporting Jon and the future of her girls is what Nicole would appreciate the very most from us right now.

If you didn’t know that Nicole was sick, it wasn’t because she didn’t care about you. She chose discretion with her illness because it was her desire not to burden others with her situation, yet another example of her compassion and strength.

Nicole lived her life to the absolute fullest, and found reasons to rejoice in each day. She did not want a formal memorial, but her wishes were to be missed in celebration and not sorrow. So despite the profound grief we are all feeling, doing something that makes you happy is the best way to commemorate our beloved Nicole and keep her bright, powerful, loving spirit alive.
