Nikki's Battle With Stage 3c Ovarian Cancer

As most of you know, Nikki had been having pain in her abdomen for a couple of months and doctors had her changing her diet and making simple changes to try to find out what was causing her distress.  She then went to her Gyno and they found a mass on her Ovary, they believed it was a cyst and scheduled surgery in February to remove it, 2 days before that surgery we received a phone call saying that they wanted her to speak with an oncologist just in case there was anything to worry about.  She had a CT Scan that then showed that she had growths throughout her abdomen and that it had spread to her lymph nodes.  In the first few days of March, she was diagnosed with Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer.

She is starting Chemo Therapy this week (March 11th) and will be going through that for the next 9 weeks, at which time they hope to have had cancer shrunk enough to perform surgery and remove it all, which will be followed by another 9 weeks of Chemo.  We do have insurance, have no clue what costs are going to be over and above that, but, we are working to stay above water financially along with the house that we were buying to hopefully move in by July this year.  

This is a bit hard to write, but, we had a lot of people reach out about wanting to do more and wanting some way to donate to help Nikki and I through this battle that we are just starting, and so we set this up as a way for people to do what they can to help.  I am not one to really ask for help, we will always find a way to get through things like this and financial support will make that a bit easier, especially with us hopefully moving into our new home out in Verrado.  The kids are doing well, they are just as strong as Nikki and are supporting in any way they can and are trusting in the Lord for his grace and mercy.

More than money, we just need your prayers, we are very grounded in our Christian faith and so just knowing that people are praying brings peace and understanding of this journey we are on.
