Thank you so much for coming to this page in support of our family member Nicolai Asome. In addition to your financial donations, we accept prayers.

My 13 year old son who was recently diagnosed with severe thoracolumbar scoliosis and requires major open back surgery at a cost of $70,000.00 USD which is carded for August 7th 2017 at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. 

Here is the summary of his spinal injury:
Nicolai Asome 13 year old male presented with 50 degrees cobb's angle. At this stage scoliosis surgery is recommended because of the tendency to be progressive which would result to restrictive pulmonary disease.

Upon examining the available data and x-rays He has Lenke IAN curve wherein selective Thoracic Fusion is recommended.  The Medical Center has the Integrated Spine Program which includes scoliosis surgery.

The cost of the procedure is estimated at USD $70,000.00 which includes Hospital Bills, operating room charges, professional fees and spine implants. The pre-operative evaluations is not included in the package.

The Scoliosis Package also prioritise the safety of the patient. Safety measures during the surgery is available. Such as use of, Image Guided Surgery by brainlab, Spinal Cord Monitoring and OSI Jackson Spine Table."  And a Neurosurgeon being present throughout the entire surgery.
