I have made the bold move to take my asexuality-focused stand-up storytelling show Single Entendre to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year.

I am personally excited to perform a month's worth of shows to an international audience, but my bank account is having a little cry in the corner.

Edinburgh is a notoriously expensive endeavour (especially when coming from the other side of the world with a tanking exchange rate), and chances of recouping costs are infinitesimal.

I'm fortunate to have been able to save the $10,000 that I have already spent on major expenses, but I could use some support to claw some cash back so that I can a) eat and b) ever perform again.

Of course, there is a minuscule chance that this festival will be my Big Break and I will return fabulously rich and famous, in which event I will return all donations along with your yacht of choice.

Another thing you can do in support that would be fantastically helpful is to recommend Single Entendre to anyone you know who might be in or around Edinburgh next month. As a punter in the past I know how overwhelming the programme can be, and one little "Hey I heard this show is good" from a random vague acquaintance can go a LONG way.

Performing this show is considerably more fun when there are other people in the room, so I would be greatly appreciative of any efforts to that end.
