Pawprints to Freedom is a registered charity that works with rescuers across Romania.

One of the rescuers we work with, Nicol, saves hundreds of lives each year from Codlea pubic shelter.

She drives to the shelter, reserves the next set of dogs that are due to be euthanised and then goes to collect them with her van.

These dogs are so often in horrendous condition. Overgrown fur, matted, skinny, terrified.. It's heartbreaking.

Without her van, no dogs can be saved.. It's that simple.

The is the predicament Nicol is in right now.

Her van is broken down and the cost of repair is 4000 euros.

Nicol does not have this money, we don't have it either.. But we can't give up.

Already countless lives have been lost because she cannot drive to the public shelter.. The next set of lives are waiting..
