Help Me Bring the Spirit of Freedom to Life: Climbing Cotopaxi
Hi, my name is Nico, I’m 32 years old, and I’ve spent the last few years embracing a path of freedom, transformation, and connection. Originally from London
, I left behind the predictable grind of city life and societal expectations to follow a dream that felt closer to my heart and purpose. Today, I live in Ecuador, a land of breathtaking natural beauty and deep spiritual roots. Here, I’ve been working as a holistic and spiritual coach, guiding others to break free from the chains of the system and reclaim their dreams, their authenticity, and their connection to nature.
Now, I want to take this message further.
Cotopaxi, one of the highest active volcanoes in the world, stands at a staggering 5,897 meters (19,347 feet) above sea level. Located in the heart of Ecuador, this iconic volcano is as challenging as it is breathtaking. Its steep slopes, glacial terrain, and unpredictable weather make it one of the most demanding climbs in South America. To me, Cotopaxi is more than just a mountain; it’s a symbol of freedom, resilience, and the strength it takes to rise above life’s challenges.
My dream is to create a powerful documentary that follows my journey as I prepare to climb Cotopaxi. This project is not just about conquering a mountain—it’s about inspiring others to conquer the mountains within themselves. It’s a message to anyone who feels trapped by the system, disconnected from their dreams, or weighed down by the chaos of modern life.
Through this documentary, I’ll share the physical, mental, and spiritual preparation it takes to climb such a demanding peak, while also exploring the deeper transformation that comes from reconnecting with nature, facing fear, and stepping into the unknown. Cotopaxi is a perfect metaphor for the journey to freedom—both daunting and exhilarating, but ultimately worth every step.
I’m reaching out for your support to make this vision a reality. The funds raised will go toward the production of the documentary, including filming equipment, travel expenses, climbing permits, guides, and ensuring the climb and filming are done safely.
This project isn’t just my story—it’s a movement to inspire others to break free, dream big, and live a life true to their hearts. By contributing, you’re not just helping me climb Cotopaxi; you’re helping to share a message of hope and transformation with the world.
Thank you for your belief in this vision and for being part of this journey. Together, we can show that freedom is always within reach—if we’re willing to take the first step.
With gratitude,
Nico
