Nicky's road to recovery
Donation protected
My son, Nicholas Crawford, was in a terrible car accident on 8/18/17. It was his 24th birthday. He was the passenger in the car that rear ended the back end of a tractor trailer truck on Rt 18 in Abington at 3 am. He was removed from the car with the jaws of life and was brought to South Shore Hospital. They immediately sent him to Brigham and Women's hospital. He's been here in the Neuro intensive care unit ever since. He suffered a traumatic brain injury. He is still unconscious at this point. The only good news so far is that his Neurologist doesn't see signs of permanent brain damage. They say if he's a fighter (feel free to smirk here, I did), then he stands a chance at a strong recovery. They did however, warn me that it's going to be very long and painful for all involved. Early guesses for recovery are around 6 months. I was encouraged by other people who care about Nicky to start this campaign to give people a chance to get involved in his comeback. Any help you could give, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. If you can't give money, we're accepting prayers too! Thank you all for your support. Nicky is so blessed to have such loving friends.
