Nicky Tume Benefit Fund

Our wonderful, talented son Nicky has just been diagnosed with incurable colorectal cancer. Nicky is a dedicated animal lover and triathlete who completed an Ironman last year and was training for future events, and for such a young and healthy person to receive this diagnosis is a devastating blow. He and his wife Katie just went through an intense week of hospital treatment for complications related to the tumour, and chemotherapy has just begun.

We are grateful to the many friends and family who have asked if they can help, so we have set up this page purely to raise funds to help with transport costs for hospital visits, and other unexpected expenses related to treatment. They have been told to plan for a minimum of 8 hospital visits per month. We have set an initial goal of £5000 to cover potential taxi fare for two years of treatment, and other support services and costs, as this will be a long journey. Contributions of any amount are deeply appreciated and will help ensure that Nicky and Katie don't have to worry about the financial impact during this challenging time.
