Hello friends,
I am coming to you to ask for your help. My brother-in-law Nicky (Nick) Bashaw died on July 4th, 2020 at only 48 years old.

Nick was a loving husband to his wife Staci, and a wonderful father to two children, Boston and Brooklyn. Nick and Staci married young, and just celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary. Nick and Staci were more than a couple, they were absolutely best friends, and everyone knew that Staci came first in Nick's life. Nick was also the funniest person I knew, and that even includes my husband, Nick's younger brother Jason. Nick could get a room of people laughing like no one else, and his humor will be acutely missed by all who knew him. Nick was extremely proud of his kids, especially in their sports endeavors, and could always be heard cheering loud and proud from the stands.

Nick was also a loving son to his mother Kathie, who has now tragically lost two of her sons.

Nick had been experiencing some health issues of late, including having several surgeries resulting after he stepped on a rusty nail. The initial injury and surgeries caused a Nick lot of pain and difficulty in walking, as well as working. Despite that, his death was not expected and came as a shock to his wife, who was home with Nick at the time of his passing.
Unfortunately, Nick was laid off from the company where he had been employed for nearly 20 years, and the family's finances were tight. Because of that, they were financially unable to maintain his expensive life insurance policy.
Beyond the horror of facing life without her partner, best friend, and children's father, Staci now has to navigate a precarious financial future on her own.
Will you please join me in contributing to a fund to help with Nick's final expenses? Any funds beyond immediate needs for the costs associated with his death will be used to support the family's needs as they move forward without Nick.
Thank you so much for you help, it means more than you can imagine.
