Raising funds to help Nicky after her MND diagnosis
Donation protected
Hello, I am reaching out to gather support for a remarkable individual, Nicky Filshie, who is currently facing a challenging journey following her recent diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease.
Nicky has become an invaluable part of the Creative family at Clifton Hall School. Through her exceptional teaching of choreography, LAMDA, and Voice, she has not only nurtured our talents but has also instilled in us a love for the performing arts. Her passion for teaching and unwavering support have left a lasting impression on all of us.
After her early education at the Dance School of Scotland, Nicky pursued her dedication to performing arts with further training in musical theatre at Bird College of Performing Arts. She began her career performing in numerous pantomimes to gain her Equity card, but her big break came when she joined the original cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard at the Adelphi Theatre in the West End. Nicky's talent led her to shine in several West End productions, including Oliver! at the London Palladium, Martin Guerre at the Prince Edward Theatre, Damn Yankees at the Adelphi Theatre, Maddie at the Lyric Theatre, My Fair Lady at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, and many more, including a successful tour of Grease as Frenchy and serving as Dance Captain in My Fair Lady.
Nicky has taught us not just the art of performance but also invaluable lessons in resilience, creativity, and the joy of expressing ourselves on stage.
Now, as Nicky and her family navigate this challenging time, we have an opportunity to come together and show our appreciation for everything she has given us. Let’s rally around her with kindness and support, helping to lighten her burden and provide her with comfort in the days ahead.
Please consider contributing to this fundraiser, whether through a donation, spreading the word, or simply reaching out with words of encouragement. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in Nicky's life and honor the incredible legacy she has built during her time with us.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
