Cancer.

That word, it’s dreaded by so many. It strikes fear in the hearts and souls of all mothers, fathers, wives, and husbands. I had hoped and prayed that I would never hear it. Cancer. I never thought I would hear it in my house. When my daughter, Samarra told me her husband’s Nick’s diagnosis was Cancer, it felt like I was in someone else’s body, someone else’s life. But only for a moment, until I realized that was my daughter, speaking about her devoted husband having Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The strong, funny, and loving 26-year-old father of my grand baby is unable to look towards his future with any kind of surety. That is not what any mother wants for their family, certainly not this Mother/Grandmother!

The doctors have recommended Chemotherapy to start as quickly as possible to increase his chances of beating this dreaded disease. So, they need your help! The price of Chemo is done by session $7,000.00. Although their insurance does cover a large percentage of the actual Chemo, we as their family are concerned about everything they will need during this ongoing WAR he and his family will have to fight. Cancer is a hard enough war to fight without such relentless burdens looming over your head. Medication, Copays, Nutrition, Gas to & fro the Clinic, Time off of work, Utility Bills, & any other unforeseen costs that will arise during this time.
