Nick's Fight Against Cancer

Well as some of you may already know Nick has been going through some really rough and intense tests for the past month.  On April 5th Nick was in the hospital and was diagnosed with having 3 kidney stones and along with that they found testicular cancer, with continuous testing they are thinking he may have Hodgkin’s Lymphoma which are both two cancers that are very treatable just a very tough road ahead. 

My mom and Nick are working with Anne Arundel Medical Center and Anne Arundel Oncology department to determine the final diagnosis.  I know I am still young but I do hear things and I hate seeing my mom hurt and worry and that is all that she has been doing the past month, let alone the worry Nick is dealing with, it hurts me to see them hurt and try and cover up things they want to try and figure out there selves. 

 I do know Nick has been out of work a lot lately and in and out of hospitals and doctors’ offices.  With him having to take so much leave from work he is now out of leave and they are stressing about financial hardships to come and how to live and support us kids,  especially with what will happen once a diagnosis is made and him being out of work for treatments and my mom having to be his caregiver to take care of him, us work and all the other things she does. 

I know they may be upset with me for doing this because they don’t like asking for help but they always help everyone else and do so much for us kids and are so involved in our community I think its time for them to get some help back in return.  I love my mom and Nick with all my heart and I just want them to go through this battle of this horrible disease without a worry of finances.
