Help my Dad kick cancer's butt!
Donation protected
About three months ago we found out my dad was diagnosed with bladder cancer. He's about half way through pre-operative chemotherapy, and while tolerating that well, and remaining strong and cheerful, he still has a long road ahead. Following a recovery period after chemo, he's looking at major surgery and a few months recovery time.
As you know, curing cancer isn't as easy as taking a pill and your cured. It takes a toll on your energy, your happiness, your family, your finances, and generally every aspect of life. We found this shortly after his mom had passed and that he's going to be a granddad. With a storm of emotions and feelings, the one constant I've seen in this man; my father, is hope. He was always there for me through my trials and tribulations from childhood into adulthood and through my mental health issues. Working all day everday while still being the best father he could be. In light of these hard times, it breaks my heart to see his quality of life decline simply because of a green piece of paper, or monetary means. He's already maxed out his deductible, and credit, making simple living expenses daunting. Not to mention lack of ability to work. So with that in mind. I humbly ask for help from from those that see hope in our plight. not only for him but for my family and his hope.
P.S.If you know this guy, you probably like him a lot. He's smart, talented, funny, kind, and sexy (holla ladies!). He's a helper and a giver, not a taker. So I'm doing this for him. Help me to help him. Cancer is one of the darkest clouds that can befall a person, but I know there is a silver lining here...help us find it.
