On the morning of 12/18/2020, Nicholas was shot twice in an attempted armed robbery; doctors gave him a 20% chance of survival. After 10 hours and multiple surgeries, he remained in critical condition.
Today, he is still being treated at the hospital with extensive mental and physical traumas, and fighting to recover. He is currently responsive, but will require extensive rehabilitation for the foreseeable future.
Being in Intensive Care for the first 15 days, and in the hospital for over 20 days, his injuries and inability to work or remain head of household, along with his fiance Autumn and newly born three month old son Masyn; He has become indigent and has no ability to pay rent, utilities, car insurance, etc.
