Hello, my name is Jonah. I’m the leader of the Cold Creek Unit Crew for Alberta Wildfire. During the 2024 season, our crew was fighting fires in Fort McMurray when the Jasper fires started. Unfortunately, one of our subleaders lost his rented house and all his belongings to the fire. The house is now just ash, and all his stuff is burned. Despite this loss, Nick continued to stay strong and focused on our ongoing firefighting efforts. He’s an incredibly good guy and did not let it affect his operations on the line.

Unfortunately, renters in Jasper are unable to obtain fire insurance. We are asking for a small amount of money to help replace some of his belongings. If you have a little cash, it would be much appreciated if you could donate or at least share this appeal within your circles.

The unit crew is going to donate here, and hopefully, some of our HAC friends will too. I know he’s not the only one who lost stuff, but any help would be much appreciated.
