Nick's Charity Trip with World Challenge to Cambodia
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nick and I’m a Year 12 student currently preparing for the opportunity of a lifetime – a charity and community trip to Cambodia. As part of this experience, I’ll be involved in meaningful work that supports local communities, including volunteering on sustainable development projects and learning about Cambodian culture and history.
To help fundraise for this incredible opportunity I will be doing multiple events, my first one being the tough physical challenge: hiking the Fan Dance route in the Brecon Beacons. The Fan Dance isn’t just any walk – it’s a gruelling 24km trek over Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, and it’s famously used as part of the UK Special Forces selection process for the SAS. The route includes steep ascents, rocky trails, unpredictable weather, and a relentless pace. It’s a real test of both physical and mental endurance, with participants facing long climbs, harsh winds, and uneven terrain that demands constant focus.
I’ll be pushing myself to the limit to complete the hike – and I’m doing it to raise money for a cause I truly believe in. Your support will help cover the costs of my trip and contribute to the meaningful work I’ll be part of in Cambodia.
Any support, donations, or encouragement would mean the world to me. Not only will you be helping me get to Cambodia, but you’ll also be contributing to projects that make a genuine difference in people’s lives.
Thank you for supporting me on this journey!
