Hi, my name is anesa. My brother in law, Nick Staley has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 seminoma. What started as a pain in his testicle a back in June has now turned into something awful for my sister and family. Last month they removed the mass from his testicle, but recent scans now show that the cancer has spread. He now has a grapefruit sized mass in his pelvis, attached to his spine. Unfortunately it cannot be removed due to the danger it can cause being so close to his spine. There is a place on his lung, and spleen as well.

How this has happens so quickly is beyond me. Six months ago it was just a pain to now having to do chemo daily.

I started this fundraiser in hopes that it will levitate some stress from them. Nick and my sister lyric have been together almost 15 years. He’s all she knows. My sister has been a stay at home mom for a few years now. They have 4 children together along with my step niece. Two teenage girls, a 7 year old boy and 2 year old twin monster boys. Nick has been working but I’m sure he will have to take off due to the chemo.

I know it’s cliche to say, but literally anything helps. Bliss aren’t going to stop just because someone gets sick. His treatment is in Indiana, which is well away from where they live. He will have to go there daily for a while and then take a break for a week, then back to daily. As we all know gas is not cheap right now. Christmas is right around the corner, and having twins is a whole other expense I couldn’t imagine.

i know it’s the holidays, and everyone is tight on funds, but they would appreciate anything. Even if it’s just enough for gas to get back and forth for treatment. I plan to keep those updated on here along with my sisters updates via Facebook. If you can’t donate, please, pray. Pray hard and manifest healing into Nick. Pray that my sister stays strong, we’ve already lost our brother this year. It’s definitely hard on all of us, but him being her husband especially.
