Nick's Beach Movie (Crashing Tides)

Hi there,

My name is Nick Milczarczyk. I am a 19-year-old filmmaker and have been making short movies and videos since I was a little kid. I have been fortunate to have had my work recognized at film festivals like the All-American High School Film Festival, the Coronado Island Film Festival, and the Calgary International Film Festival. You might know me from my short films “In The Weeds” or “Those Who Run”.

For over a year now, I’ve been working on my first feature-length film. It’s the most personal, special, and important story I've ever written. In the past, I have been able to fund all of my previous short films with film festival prizes, but producing a film on a larger scale is not so easy. I thought I would reach out to all of my friends, family members, Polish community members, fellow filmmakers, or anyone else that sees any sort of value in my work to humbly ask you for your help.

I don’t want to reveal too much about the story, but it is a film is about a lifeguard on a beach who finds a girl who has surrounded herself with the wrong crowd. It's a story about redemption and growing up.
