We are writing with hope for our son, nephew, friend, and so much more!

Nicholas is a bright young man with so much on the line he got the worst news a 17 year old could have going into his senior year of high school. What started out as back pain progressed into a tumor on his brain. Which led to the prognosis of cancer.. After undergoing surgery at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital on July 22nd he is being referred to Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle, Washington to undergo treatment.

The tumor board is still trying to determine the type of cancer it is, but it does not look like it's ependymoma, which is the more treatable cancer. From what they can tell so far, it looks like WHO 3 high-grade glioma. This is a CNS cancer that is usually very aggressive.

We are asking for donations to support Nicholas in this battle against the c word. For my sister Mary and her husband Matt to be able to take time off work to support their son. For the incoming medical bills, the commute, the stay in Seattle as they will be traveling there for treatment.
