Hi! My name is Nick Ciavolino.

I’m a 17-year-old junior at Shore Regional High School in West Long Branch, New Jersey and a triplet!

I am honored to be accepted into the CIEE Global Navigator Program, where I will participate in a month-long summer study abroad semester in Barcelona, Spain THIS July of 2022.

Ever since I was young, I have been fascinated by the many cultures, languages and unique societies that the world has to offer. I have always been passionate about learning languages and have studied continuously to improve my fluency levels throughout my high school career.

Going on the month-long immersive study abroad will not only help me in my pursuit of achieving a career in languages but also help me honor my triplet-siblings as well.

My brother and sister, born minutes apart from me, both have autism. As a result of their disability, they may never have the opportunity to study abroad or to experience many of the things that most people take for granted. So I am making this trip as much for myself as for my brother and sister. As I travel abroad and learn more about the Spanish language and culture, I will always have them with me in my heart and spirit.
