SECOND CHANCE ON LIFE

Hello Everyone.  My name is Nicholas O'Hara and I have End Stage Renal Disease also known as Kidney Failure.  I first learned of my kidney problems in 2003 which now know stemed from my having severe High Blood Pressure which I was diagnosed with my freshman year of college in 1998.   As many of you may know during that time presciption drugs were no where near as cheap as they are now and with me not always being able to to have health insureance; my blood pressure was out of control which in turn caused severe damage to both of my kidneys.   In 2010 one week after my 31st Birthday i went to the emergency  room with complaints of shortness of breath and i was immediatly admited to the hospital.   Little did I know my life was changing for ever.  I got the news that I had less than 20% kidney function in both of my kidneys and body had began to retain fluid which was causing my lungs to collapse from the weight of the fluid retention.  I was told I had to undergo emergency sugery so that i could begin dialysis treatment which ultimately saved my life.  Needless to say i was in a dark place for many years which by the grace of God I was able to overcome.  After being on dialysis for the past five years I decided to make a change in my life.  I decided i don't to live but not confined to some chair for four hours a day and three times a week!  I have been applying since February to four different hospitals which put me through rigorous tests and evaluation.  I have definitely changed my life for the better putting down the wacky tobaccy , alcohol and changing my eating habits for the better.  And by the continued Grace of God Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Fl will be blessing me with a kidney transplant; A SECOND CHANCE ON LIFE.  For those who know me know that i'm not one to ask for help especially financially but to today i put my pride aside and I pray that those of you that can PLEASE HELP ME with whatever you can so that my family does not have to carry this burden alone; even if it's nothing more than a prayer.
